So, my dad wants to move to either an Audi A7 TDI or a merc GLK bluetech. not bad cars.
Mom just got a IS250 2 years ago. so her car is still good.
That means the A3 TDI will probably fall to me...

planned:
intake,
exhaust,
louder BOV for choo choo noises (yes, i am immature, no, I dont care),
tune. hoping to bring it up to at least 200 HP and 300ft (APR stage 1 alone brings it from 140hp/238trq to 178hp/287trq, so I think I have a decent shot at getting it to that power level with an intake and an exhaust)
transmission tune (which gets me full control in manual mode and Launch control)
Bigger wheels and tires
See how it goes from there. might get the S-line body kit for it as well as the factory NAV option.
No idea when this may happen. could be a month, could be a year.

It has a DSG, its fine. Would I prefer a manual? yes. But frankly I dont give two shits.

because of 2 reasons:
1: that really is too slow. I'm sorry VW, but whowever the moron who thought: HEy lets stick a 140HP motor into a fullsized sedan should be fired. That motor is barely adequte in our A3, let alone something with another 700 lbs on it.
2: Audi A7. merc GLK. luxury. class. not exactly something that is crosshopped with a Passat.

My brother bought a Passat, considering the torque it has, it's not bad off the line. But honestly, neither is the A7 TDI is fast.
We had an A7, so i'd have to go with the A7 if a sporty model is out of option.

well, the American passat is only has the 140HP/238trq tdi for diesel. the A7 has the 3.0L, with roughly 100 more HP and 200lbs more of torque. . The A7 isnt fast, but at least it can get out of its own way.
